Although they work in different areas of computational biology, both Jaime Fraser and Mike Eisen are convinced that a lifelong love of baseball statistics has significantly influenced their research.

About the speakers
James Fraser is a QB3@UCSF Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco and a Blue Jays fan. He uses computational and biophysical methods to study protein-protein interactions.

Michael Eisen is an HHMI Investigator and UC Berkeley faculty member. His lab studies how genome sequences regulate gene expression in Drosophila. Eisen is also one of the founders of PLoS and, most importantly, a Red Sox fan.
